RCB Set Sights on Happy Home Farewell in IPL 2026

A five-day break at any point in a tournament is a rare luxury. Royal Challengers Bengaluru had already benefited from a week-long gap between their first two matches, and they were handed another extended breather following their six-wicket defeat to Delhi Capitals last Saturday.

Rejuvenated and ready to go again, the defending champions will take the field for their final league game at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday, where they face Gujarat Titans. After this, RCB’s remaining two ‘home’ fixtures will be shifted to Raipur, scheduled to be played next month.

Like RCB, Shubman Gill’s side is also heading into this clash after a heavy home defeat, having been outplayed by Mumbai Indians by 99 runs. While RCB might view their loss to Delhi Capitals as a minor setback especially after winning three consecutive home games Gujarat Titans appear to have deeper concerns, particularly in their middle-order, where Glenn Phillips, Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan have yet to find form.
