Code of Conduct Incident Mars LSG vs RR Encounter

Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer Nandre Burger has been penalised for a breach of the IPL Code of Conduct during his side’s clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Wednesday. The left-arm bowler has been fined 10 per cent of his match fees and handed one demerit point.

Burger admitted to committing a Level 1 offence under Article 2.5, which relates to using language, gestures, or actions that could be considered provocative or disrespectful towards another player during a match. He accepted the sanction imposed by the Match Referee.

As per IPL rules, decisions taken by the Match Referee in cases of Level 1 breaches are final and binding.
